New Year in Paris

Paris is not just one of the most romantic cities in the world, it is also one of the most beautiful in my opinion. However, finding the right accommodation in this touristic and expensive city is not an easy task as there are tons of hotels! You will find amazing high-end, historic and aristocratic ones but along comes the price-tag. And then there is, of course, the complete opposite.  As I was going to spend New Years’ Eve in Paris I wanted to find something in between, down-to earth and unpretentious but comfortable and good-quality. I chose ‘Mama Shelter’.

It is in the 20th arrondissment so it may not be super-central but only two metro-stops away. The hotel is very funky and reminds me a lot about Brooklyn, which was probably the idea when Phillipe Starck designed it.
